A Very German New Year’s Eve
This German-centric event is the perfect way to start out the night or for those who want to get to bed early. There will be German traditions like jelly donuts offered, the German classic 1963 film Dinner for One, which has become a German New Year’s Eve tradition, and a toast to New Year’s at 5 pm—midnight in Germany!

Kelly’s Irish New Year’s Eve
The “Irish New Year’s Eve” begins at 6 pm with music from a DJ and a champagne toast to celebrate early for midnight in Ireland. Then, there will be another countdown, a “USA” New Year’s Eve party with a DJ and another champagne toast at midnight for local KC.

NYE At The View
The 7,200 square foot ballroom will be designed in New Year’s Eve flair, while guests enjoy a gourmet dinner, an open bar, party favors, live entertainment from The Stolen Winnebagos and a complimentary photo booth. There will also be a costume contest with prizes for best dressed of the night. At midnight, a champagne toast and balloon drop will help to celebrate 2023.

One of the swankiest spots on the plaza, Eddie V’s seafood restaurant is holding a red carpet New Year’s Eve party with dinner specials, live music, and a midnight toast.
New Year’s Eve at Cafe Trio
Cafe Trio is only offering a special four-course menu for the holiday, along with live music in the main dining room, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast to ring in the New Year.

Hamburger Mary’s New Year’s Eve 2023: A Winter Wonderland
Beginning as a three-course dinner, Lana Luxx hosts the evening of entertainment as other drag queens perform a show during the dinner service. DJ RiTz will be spinning dance music with pop-up drag performances throughout the night, ending in a countdown and champagne toast at midnight.

Chaz Restaurant and Lounge
There is no cover charge for this elegant dinner soiree at swanky hotel The Raphael, featuring live jazz music with Jackie Meyers along with the great view of the plaza lights from the lounge. This is a great alternative for anyone looking for a more low-key, intimate environment to ring in the new year.

J. Rieger & Co.’s New Year Masquerade Ball
J. Rieger and Co. will be holding a New Year’s Eve masquerade ball which includes entertainment by Voler – Thieves of Flight, an aerial and acrobatic performance art group and musical performances throughout the space by Wonderfuzz and DJ Cquence. There will also be hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks in several lounges and bars, including the night’s ending in a joyful midnight toast.

NYE Live!
An annual event that has been happening for fourteen years, this event in P&L boasts itself as the biggest NYE party in KC. Party-goers have access to over a dozen bars and nightclubs with live DJ’s, food and drink packages, party favors, and confetti cannons. The night culminates with a countdown to midnight, complete with KC’s version of the Times Square ball drop.

The Black Party NYE
Boasting itself as the longest-standing premium NYE party in KC, after nearly two decades The Black Party is at the Truman to ring in the New Year. Premium drinks and party favors are offered, with several stages of various types of music and DJ’s so that the vibe never gets dull.

New Year’s Eve at Uptown Theater
As another one of KC’s longest-running NYE parties, the Uptown Theater has enough space to accommodate four separate event spaces, including live music from yacht-rock to soul to drag performances. There are also five open bars, a light show with special effects and a photo booth to commemorate the night.

New Years Eve Party at Bamboo Penny’s
This cover-free event will take place at the Polynesian-inspired rooftop bar, The Bamboo Room, which features a retractable rooftop, heaters, and fire pits for the cold winter nights. The full menu by Chef Penny Mufuka, including small bites and seasonal cocktails, will be available while local musicians play live music. There will also be party favors and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The Bamboo Room will also have Sunday Fun Day food and drink specials on New Year’s Day for the chiefs game.
