Hillsong is a national, contemporary and charismatic Christian conglomerate that has churches in twenty-eight countries—and there’s one off the Plaza. Pastor Kyle Turner and Pastor Brian Houston will be leading Kansas City’s online service.
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church
Along with Sunday live streams, the stately Episcopal church in Brookside hosts a daily prayer on Facebook Live at 8 am, 1 pm, and 8 pm. You can find their Stations of the Cross bulletin on Dropbox now.
Country Club Christian Church
This beautiful historic church on Ward Parkway church is affiliated with the Disciples of Christ and named for its location in the Country Club district, but stresses that while its name “evokes exclusivity” it is “far from an exclusive club.” Stream their Easter service and, although it’s more striking in person, you can view images of and read about the church’s Last Supper Sculpture on their website.
Church of the Resurrection
The nation’s largest Methodist congregation, led by Pastor Adam Hamilton, is in Overland Park. You can watch their Easter services online here.
