There’s a new addition to the drink offerings near the Kauffman Center in the Crossroads. Oak and Steel, located inside the Webster House Parking Garage, offers a curated selection of wine, beer from twenty-four taps and fifty-plus whiskeys including a few rare selections from Japan and Spain. There is no kitchen at Oak and Steel, but guests are encouraged to bring outside food.

After forty years on the Plaza, Panache Chocolatier has relocated its storefront to Leawood’s Park Place. The chocolatier now has ample room to showcase master chocolatier Mallory Baxter’s brilliant creations, including artisan truffles, signature chocolate bars, macarons, assorted pastries and even chocolate-covered bacon. There’s also an event space and tasting bar, where guess may enjoy a glass of local Amigoni wine, chocolate-infused cocktails and boozy milkshakes.

Ravenous

Ravenous, the fast-casual lunch spinoff from the owners of Corvino Supper Club and Tasting Room, has launched in the Crossroads. The menu from chef Michael Corvino focuses on sandwiches — including the signature cheeseburger — but diners will also be able to enjoy fried chicken, parmesan Bolognese fries, cheesy chili butter tater tots, salads and old-fashioned malts. A grand opening will come in the spring. Until then, the menu is available for delivery or take-out from Corvino.

The Clubhouse Experience

The Clubhouse Experience just opened underneath the Wallstreet Tower Condominiums in downtown Kansas City and features Topgolf Swing Suite bays, where fancy gaming simulation technology gives folks the chance to play like Tiger Woods. There’s also basketball, hockey and other gaming options. You could just as easily stop by for the food: The full-service restaurant is set in a stylish and sprawling space, and the menu features dishes with an international flair, from Korean fried chicken and cauliflower shawarma to tonkatsu pork sandwiches and gelato milkshakes.
