Obstetrics and gynecology is the branch of medicine that specializes in women’s health: more specifically, during pregnancy and childbirth and in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive organs. Obstetricians-gynecologists also specialize in other women’s health issues, such as hormone problems, menopause, hormone problems, birth control and infertility.
