St. Louis Union Station: It’s More Than an Attraction, It’s a Destination

With so many wonderful things to see and do in St. Louis, the new additions at Union Station capture the essence of history, fun and entertainment that the city offers, with the added bonus of being able to stay in the hotel right on site. Book your stay at the award-winning Curio Collection by Hilton hotel and walk to all of the attractions.

Anchoring the entire Union Station development is the stunning St. Louis Aquarium. The 120,000-square-foot attraction features one-of-a-kind exhibits and tanks housing thousands of aquatic species from the rivers and oceans of the world.

Visitors will get a bird’s-eye of the iconic St. Louis skyline when they board the neighboring 200-foot St. Louis Wheel. Open year-round, the observation wheel features 42 enclosed gondolas, each equipped with seating for six adults. And if you’re in the mood to splurge, one special “VIP” gondola has leather bucket seats, a stereo system and a glass floor. Taking a ride on the Wheel makes for a great date night!

Other activities include the A-MAZE-ING Discoveries Mirror Maze. A labyrinth of mirrors will challenge your sense of direction, while you navigate this nod to an iconic funhouse. A ropes course, 18-hole mini golf course, and carousel add to the fun and adventure you’ll experience during your stay. Or, sit back and relax at one of the two complementary light shows, a spectacular fire and light showcase or the 3D presentation in the Grand Hall.

Your Union Station adventure isn’t complete without a meal (or treat) from one of the top-notch eateries! The popular Soda Fountain is home to the famous Freak Shake, while the Train Shed, 1894 Café, Station Grille and Landry’s Seafood House round out a full lineup of some of the finest food in the city.

Escape for the weekend to the reimagined St. Louis Union Station and see where it takes you. It remains an inspiring must-visit destination in St. Louis.
