Legends of Hip Hop | Friday, October 15

Finally rescheduled from its early pandemic cancelation, this tour will take you straight back to that drank-fueled, micro-golden era of Gulf Coast hip-hop. Don’t miss the chance to see Mystikal, Juvenile, Scarface and Bun B on one bill. One day you’re here, baby, and the next day you’re gone.

West Bottoms Fall Fest | Saturday, October 16

Join West Bottoms businesses and local vendors under the overpass for live music, food trucks, crafts, and more. The Strawberry Swing makers are coming together this Saturday to celebrate the fall season in a way you don’t want to miss.

KC Grilled Cheese & Mac Festival | Saturday, October 16

Due to rescheduling, The Great Grilled Cheese and Beer Festival of KC has been combined with the KC Mac and Cheese Festival to debut the cheesiest carb and gluten overload experience in the city. Local chefs and restaurants are cooking up their most creative grilled cheese and mac ‘n’ cheese recipes. Along with all the cheesy goodness, you can enjoy beer sampling from a variety of breweries and an open bar.

Last Weekend of KC Ren Fest | Saturday, October 16-Sunday, October 17

Doth thee liketh turkey forks and elab’rate costumes? Well, thou art in luck. The Renaissance festival in the springs of Bonn’r hast a final weekend of jousts, dirt cakes, coney dogs the length of the king’s foot, maypole dances and parades. Plus, thee final weekend hast a haunted huzzah.

Final chance to see Ghost Light: A Haunted Night of Songs and Stories from KC’s Cultural Crossroads | Thursday, October 14 and Saturday, October 16-Sunday, October 17

Catch the final weekend of Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s annual production of Ghost Light on the South Lawn of the Nelson-Atkins. After selling out during its debut season last fall, the hybrid concert and ghost-story performances are quickly becoming a Kansas City tradition. And KCRep has partnered with Lifted Spirits Distillery to offer signature cocktails for the event.

Deanna Rose Farmstead | Now–Sunday, October 31

Deanna Rose Farmstead in south Overland Park has its own annual Pumpkin Hollow event. There’s a lot of hay to be had: a horse-drawn hayride, a hay pyramid and a hay slide. There’s also a spider web maze, lawn games and pumpkins for sale. 

9 am–4 pm daily. 13800 Switzer Road, Overland Park. $3. 

Faulkner’s Ranch | Now-Sunday, October 31

Faulkner’s Ranch in Raytown is a rowdy, country-fried alternative to more demure pumpkin patches, boasting several large bouncy attractions, pony rides, petting goats and a corn cannon that blasts cobs across a pond. There are also fresh doughnuts and chilled cider for sale. 

10 am-6 pm. 10600 Raytown Road, KCMO. $10 on weekdays, $15 on weekends.
