Bar K
A heaven for dogs and their owners, Bar K, just north of River Market (501 Berkley Plaza, Kansas City, Mo. 816-474-2275, barkdogbar.com), has it all. The bar’s building itself is made out of upcycled shipping containers and has multiple levels to hang out on. The outside area is separated into three sections: the general dog park space, a park for small dogs and an area just for puppies. We’re not kidding when we say that you can literally hang out all day at Bar K; aside from booze and food (both for you, just food for your pup) there’s also a coffee and smoothie bar. Bringing your pooch warrants a $10 cover charge, or splurge on the $225 year-long membership because you two will most definitely be coming back again and again.
