Grand opening, grand closing.
If you don’t already have one, you won’t be getting a bottle of local artisan dairy Shatto’s special Chiefs red milk.
The milk is red and flavored like red velvet cake. The bottles went on sale Thursday and immediately disappeared from shelves across the metro, despite stores like Hyvee and hen House restricting buyers to one bottle. we’ve been calling around town to ask about the limited edition product and have been told in some cases people lined up by the milk case to get their bottle.
Shatto says the last few bottles were sold at their facility east of St. Joseph at 3:30 pm.
