An event Celebrating Lisa Galvan, Who Died In Chiefs Parade Shooting is set for today

In February, the Chiefs parade ended in a tragic shooting – an event that resulted in 22 people injured and the fatality of radio DJ Lisa Galvan. On Saturday, June 22, a fundraising event is being held in honor of Galvan and to raise proceeds in her name.

The Lisa G Celebration of Life Festival will take place at the American Legion Post 213 (Argentine Eagles Nest, 1044 S. 26th Street KCK). It will begin at 1 pm with the last DJ’s spinning until 10:45 pm. The entertainment schedule includes DJs from all over the city along with food and merchandise vendors and a silent auction.

The flyer suggests to bring lawn chairs.

Proceeds will be donated to St. Agnes and Bishop Miege in Galvan’s name. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. To purchase tickets contact the event orgnizer Javier Escobar at (913)558-1796 or Kerry Madrigal at (913)449-7378.
