The Scene: Braden’s Hope Annual Hope Gala

Braden’s Hope For Childhood Cancer is a local organization that raises awareness and funds for targeted treatments of childhood cancers. Their biggest event is the Hope Gala which was held on September 25, 2021 at the Overland Park Convention Center. This year’s event featured a brunch, dinner, and a virtual program as well. People from all 50 states tuned in virtually and hundreds participated in person helping raise $615,000 during the month of September. Those funds will used to fund research at Children’s Mercy and KU Medical Center to find targeted treatments to shut down the activators of childhood cancers. Braden’s Hope is honored to fund locally in Kansas City delivering hope to children in the KC Metro and in the Midwest Region.
