The Lenexa Public Market is introducing a new vendor in January. Saap Saap Noodles will serve Laos and Thai cuisine and be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
Adison Sichampanakhone, owner and chef of Saap Saap Noodles, has created a menu full of family recipes inspired by his heritage in Laos and Thailand.
“Saap Saap translates to ‘good good’ in Laotian,” said Sichampanakhone. “We aim to provide everything a ‘good’ meal embodies within southeast Asian cuisine. Our mission is to offer homestyle recipes passed down from our families that create a sense of comfort when eating them.”
Menu items include traditional home dishes like Lao-style pho with a choice of protein (oxtail or chicken, for example), pad Thai, khao poon (red curry noodles) and egg rolls. Specialty items include Laos sausage wonton soup, ribeye ramen and Laos-style garlic noodles. As for beverages, Thai tea, coffee, beer and cocktails will be available. Desserts include mango ice cream sticky rice, taro ice cream and coconut ice cream.
The Lenexa Public Market is known for its diverse group of food vendors, including African Dream Cuisine and Sohaila’s Kitchen, which serves Pakistani cuisine. This month, Kimchi and Bap, a Korean food vendor, closed but will continue doing pop-ups.
