St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which puts a bit of a damper on the festivities. We recommend getting an early start celebrating at this parade and party, which takes place on the preceding Saturday. Brookside is historically heavily Irish, and for forty years now the ’hood has been home to a St. Patty’s party where you’ll find both coolers of green beer and candy for the kids. The afternoon parade draws thousands of revelers, plus marching bands, drill teams, Irish dancers, bagpipes and lots of doggos.
