Orchid Delirium
A stunning and vibrant display awaits at Powell Gardens’ Orchid Delirium. Originally launched in 2022, the annual indoor exhibit showcases hundreds of alternating blooms from the garden’s extensive 2,000-piece orchid collection.

Cruzar la Cara de la Luna
The Lyric Opera of Kansas City is bringing the world’s first mariachi opera, Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, to KC stages. Through a multi-generational lens, the one-act opera explores themes of sacrifice, unity and the enduring ties of family. The production will also feature the Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos on stage alongside performers.

Sensatia
Kansas City-born and internationally renowned performance art collective Quixotic brings an interactive multimedia performance this winter. Blending acrobatics, futuristic visuals, live music, and perfumery, Sensatia promises a wildly unique sensory experience. This weekend marks the opening weekend of the original production.

Kids Jam: Pierce Freelon
Although Grammy Award-winning musician Pierce Freelon’s music is technically for children, the grooving fusion of jazz, soul and hip-hop is captivating for all ages. Family-friendly activities including arts and crafts will begin in Polsky Theater’s lobby an hour before Freelon’s performance.

A Match Made in Heaven
St. Louis artist Katherine Bernhardt and KC fashion designer Jeremy Scott come together for a vibrant exhibit at Overland Park’s Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. Scott, the designer behind Katy Perry’s iconic Met Gala burger look, will showcase over 100 looks alongside over 35 of Bernhardt’s bold paintings in the newly-opened exhibit, A Match Made in Heaven.

Goitse
Kick off the St. Patrick’s Day season with Goitse, one of Ireland’s most exciting traditional bands. The energetic quintet’s soaring melodies and driving percussion guarantee a captivating performance.

Jay Carter and John Lenti
KC countertenor Jay Carter and Seattle-based lutist John Lenti come together for an evening of 17th century music. In support of local ensemble Musica Chorale, the intimate performance is set against the historically inspired backdrop of Liberty’s Belvoir Winery, modeled after architecture of the same period.

Untitled: A Group Street Art Exhibition Opening Reception
Upper Level Gallery’s latest exhibit, Untitled, features street artists from KC, Miami, Los Angeles and beyond to showcase the ever evolving nature of contemporary street art. While the exhibit will run through March 29, this weekend marks the opening reception.

Doubt, A Parabel
The Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Doubt, A Parable is a gripping exploration of skepticism, morality and power. Presented by Kansas City Actors Theatre, the play follows the stringent principal of a Bronx Catholic school who grows wary of the charismatic priest’s relationship with a student as she grapples with the fine line between truth and perception.
