Watch the World Cup Final Draw at Power and Light This Weekend

Downtown is the place to be this weekend, whether you’re a soccer superfan or just World Cup-curious.

On Friday, December 5, Power & Light District kicks off the weekend with a watch party for the FIFA World Cup Final Draw. This is when every team learns its first three opponents in the group stage—essentially the roadmap each nation must navigate to advance in the tournament. Doors to the event will open at 9 am, and live hosts and fan activities lead up to the broadcast at 11 am.

Then on Saturday, the energy rolls on and P&L will host another event for the release of the full match schedule. This is the moment when FIFA reveals kickoff times, matchups and which teams will actually be playing their World Cup matches in Kansas City next summer.

The schedule release is huge because it finally shows how these matches will stack up for us: Arrowhead Stadium is set to host six World Cup matches next summer: four group-stage games (June 16, 20, 25 and 27), one Round-of-32 match (July 3) and a Quarterfinal (July 11).

World Cup tickets have been on sale since September via a phased, lottery-style system, with more sales still coming. If you’re thinking of making plans, FIFA recommends registering your FIFA ID to get updates on future ticket drops.

If you can’t make it to P&L for the big reveal this weekend, you can watch it online at FIFA.com or on FIFA’s YouTube channel.
