Electric Park Garden Bar
The Electric Park Garden Bar at J. Rieger & Co. officially reopened for the season this week. The menu includes draft cocktails (including a few that can be ordered as an ice cream float, like the Railcar with orange cream soda and bourbon), Electric Fries, fried chicken thighs and more. Groups of eight people and more can reserve the swing table, fire table or patio pergola.
Now open Wednesday-Sunday. Hours vary. J. Rieger & Co.
Rooftop Season at Percheron
Speaking of outdoor spaces, Percheron is opening its rooftop hotspot in the Crossroads this weekend, too. This season, Percheron is debuting a new menu and summer concert series. “Percheron at the best it’s ever been,” says Jeremy Bennett. “It’s always been a great place to meet people, and now with the concerts and events you can always expect that there’s something fun going on.”
The rooftop opens Friday, April 15. 4 pm-midnight. Percheron at Crossroads Hotel.
A Night to Remember: An Up-Down Prom
Does season two of Euphoria have you wanting to relive prom night? Well, it seems to have Up-Down feeling that way. They’re hosing a Night to Remember, a chance for you to dust off your old prom attire. There will be decorations, a photo wall and a special spiked punch.

Beer Garden Grand Opening at Border Brewing Co.
Patio season is about to be in full swing. Border is celebrating the grand opening of its new Beer Garden this weekend, which features a newly renovated backyard space, seating, a stage and tree coverage. Free live music from the MGDs, a band that blends funk and blues inspired by New Orleans and beyond, will begin at 6 pm.

The English singer-songwriter rode the New Wave from start to finish, heavily influencing ’80s college rock acts like R.E.M. and The Replacements along the way. His solo shows are intimate acoustic affairs that showcase his storytelling and songs pulled from his thick catalog. He often does a set seated at the piano, playing stripped-down versions of pop-rock songs like “Somewhere Apart.”

Crossroads Artboards: Cesar Lopez + Angie Jennings
If you pass by the Charlotte Street space in the Crossroads this month, you’re sure to notice the return of a popular installation project. Charlotte Street’s Artboards series has existed since 2008, with nearly a hundred artists featured during that time. The double-sided billboards will feature works by photographer Angie Jennings, whose work was influenced by the costume from Turkey and the architecture and sky of Santorini, and artist Cesar E. Lopez, whose piece “explores the 3rd space through showcasing fictitious flags and manipulating them into personal interpretations.”
