The popular eyewear retailer plans to open at Summit Fair in early 2027, taking over the former Fat Bee space.
Lee’s Summit shoppers will soon have another place to find a new pair of frames. Warby Parker, the popular eyewear retailer known for its stylish glasses and sunglasses, plans to open a store at Summit Fair Lifestyle Center early next year.
The new store will move into the former Fat Bee space next to Missouri Furniture Mart. But bubble tea fans needn’t worry. Fat Bee isn’t leaving the shopping center, just relocating to another Summit Fair spot.
Founded in 2010, Warby Parker made a name for itself by offering fashionable prescription glasses at more affordable prices, initially selling directly to consumers online. The company has since expanded into brick-and-mortar stores, offering eyewear, eye exams and other vision care services.

Warby Parker joins a growing lineup of national and local retailers at Summit Fair, including lululemon, H&M, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Made in KC Marketplace and DSW. The 510,000-square-foot shopping center, located near the intersection of Interstate 470 and U.S. Highway 50, is also home to restaurants, fitness studios and other businesses.
