Betty Rae’s Ice Cream shop Opens Third Location And Celebrates With Halloween Flavors.

With a recent change in ownership, the local beloved ice cream shop Betty Rae’s is expanding quickly. The newest location opened September 29 and is celebrating with Halloween flavors.

Vice President of Shatto Milk Company Matt Shatto announced plans to expand the Betty Rae’s brand when he bought it in May.

The new third location in Olathe (10470 South Ridgeview Road Olathe, KS) joins the Betty Rae’s ice cream stores in Waldo and the River Market, as well as the Betty Rae’s ice cream truck.

To celebrate, the Olathe store kicked off its opening with specialty Halloween flavors – Monster Mash, a sweet cream ice cream mixed with Halloween candies and topped with a homemade salted caramel swirl. Customers can also grab a few other fall fan favorites like a Pumpkin Spice Latte Shake.

The ice cream shop is known for its homemade waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches and serving a whopping 26 house made flavors, along with monthly creations and collaborative seasonal flavors like Joe’s KC BBQ Burnt Ends (we ranked Joe’s KC BBQ #9 on our 2023 Best BBQ in KC list).

Shatto also plans to make Betty Rae’s more accessible through retail sales at area grocers, through local restaurant partnerships and via the expanded outreach of the Betty Rae’s Ice Cream truck at corporate, family and neighborhood events.
