Readers packed Unity Temple on the Plaza as Good Morning America host Jenna Bush Hager spent an evening celebrating books and authors.
Hosted by Rainy Day Books, the event featured a conversation between Bush Hager and Anna McCallie, whose debut novel, Abby Offsides, was selected for publication through Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices imprint. The discussion, emceed by KSHB 41’s Caitlin Knute, explored the writing process, the journey from manuscript to publication and the role independent bookstores continue to play in connecting readers with new voices. The evening also served as a fundraiser for local nonprofit Do Good Co., a resale boutique whose profits fund local charities.
