KC Ferris wheel Opens

It’s time to ride. The KC Ferris Wheel at Pennway Point is set to open to the public Thursday, Dec. 14 at noon.

At 150-feet tall and with 36 fully enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas, there’s no need to worry about the weather. The gondolas have floor-to-ceiling windows with 360-degree views of the city. The entertainment complex is also home to Pennway Putt, a 16-hole minigolf course.

For the past few years, DaVinci KC and 3D Development have been working to create a new vision for the forgotten space between I-35 and the Pennway bridges to life in the form of a new entertainment district. The ferris wheel is only one part of the overall plan. Over the course of the next few months, food venues, bars and retail shops will also open.

Tickets are available for purchase online only at kcwheel.com with a limited time opening price of $15 to experience the KC Wheel, $12 for Pennway Putt minigolf. Save an additional $2 per Pennway Putt admission when purchased with a KC Ferris Wheel admission.  Tickets must be purchased online for designated times. Operating hours for the KC Wheel will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 15 through Jan. 2, 2024.
