Colony House
Tennessee based indie-rock band Colony House is stopping in KC on their US tour in support of their new album, The Cannonballers, before ending their tour and making their Bonnaroo debut in their home state.

St. Patrick’s Day at KC Live!
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with festivities throughout P&L, including a free concert, green beer, a scavenger hunt and more. McFadden’s will be opening early to celebrate the holiday with unlimited green pancakes and green beer specials running all day long. A “Pot of Gold” scavenger hunt will take place throughout the restaurant, giving guests the chance to win prizes. Local band Cheat Codes will be performing a free concert at KC Live! at 6 pm. KC Hooley House, KC’s newest Irish pub will also be serving elevated eats, handcrafted cocktails and in-house entertainment.

The Shining
Stephen King’s horror novel The Shining gets updated as the Lyric Opera of Kansas City adapts the classic. Jack Torrance’s descent into madness and paranoia at the picturesque Overlook Hotel gets heightened with accompanying music and dramatic opera.

WWE Smackdown
WWE Smackdown lets us go back to a simpler time, where grown men can scream from the stands for their favorite oiled muscle men in extravagant, tiny spandex costumes to top each other.

Planet Comicon
Planet Comicon Kansas City is the largest comic book and pop culture convention in the Midwest, featuring celebrity guests like William Shatner and Giancarlo Esposito on panels, exhibit halls, meet and greets, contests and more for fans of almost literally anything and everything.

Alberto Giacometti: Toward the Ultimate Figure
Modernist early 20th century sculptor Alberto Giacometti’s first midwest exhibition explores the “essence of the human form,” through his extraordinary portrayals of the human figure in sculpture, painting, and drawing.

Blake Shelton
Country singer Blake Shelton has been on the scene for twenty years, but he didn’t reach worldwide fame until his highly publicized marriage (and later divorce) with fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert, shortly followed by a surprising marriage to fellow The Voice judge pop-punk queen Gwen Stefani. Shelton is leaving the competition series after twenty-three long seasons and kicking off his aptly named “Back to the Honky Tonk Tour.”

Indigo Girls with the Kansas City Symphony
The folk-rock duo Indigo Girls has been breaking barriers for nearly forty years, with hits like “Closer to Fine” and “Galileo.” Now accompanied by the incredible sound of the KC Symphony, the program promises an energetic performance that blurs the lines between folk, rock, pop and classical sounds.

A Tribute to Black Composers
This benefit concert for Patrick Mahomes’ charity foundation features local performers, including Angela Hagenbach and City Light Jazz Orchestra, performing a historical tribute of Black songwriting and publishing in the twentieth century, highlighting music from jazz greats like Duke Ellington and Bobby Watson.
