The Power & Light District’s premier nightclub and lounge, Mosaic, will debut a multimillion renovation and expansion next month.
When Mosaic (1331 Walnut St.) reopens on March 7, it will be nearly double in size, have a state-of-the-art sound system, enhanced lighting, DJ booth with high-resolution LED wall, a new luxury lounge with an expanded bar and additional VIP seating.
“My vision has always been to elevate Kansas City nightlife and bring a world-class experience to the Midwest,” said Eric Coomes, strategic partner and resident DJ at Mosaic, in a statement. “This renovation and expansion elevates Mosaic to another level, truly making it one of the premier nightclubs in the country. Mosaic has been so special to me for over a decade, and I cannot wait to show this next evolution of the concept to all of Mosaic’s friends and guests that we are so proud to serve.”
The renovation and expansion is the first phase of a $10 million reinvestment initiative of the Kansas City Live! Block – dubbed Kansas City’s living room -that was announced in November.
It includes a new Latin-inspired restaurant, Besos y Abrazos, (1323 Walnut) scheduled to open soon. The patio of Pizza Bar (1320 Grand Blvd.), also will be refreshed with new outdoor seating, upgraded finishes and bar.
