WATCH: Beloved Louisburg Cider Mill gets featured on the Science Channel

Kansas City’s beloved Louisberg Cider Mill—you may recognize its cider doughnuts from the cover of our October 2020 issue—is the subject of a new segment airing on national TV.

The Mill’s cider was featured in the Science Channel’s popular program How It’s Made, which features footage of the apples being combined, cleaned and shredded into the pulp from which the tasty fall beverage is pressed.

The segment goes into great detail about every step of the process which, I have to admit, is far more complicated than I had assumed (mush ’em and let gravity do the rest, right folks?) and is surprisingly soothing.

You can practically smell the cider wafting off your screen in the revolving drum cuts.

Watch it below.
