Whole Harvest is a health-focused subscription service that delivers chef-prepared meals straight to your door. The company, and its Executive Chef Will Harris, are set to expand their business by opening their first restaurant right here in KC.

Like the delivery service, all menu items at the Whole Harvest Kitchen restaurant will be plant-based, oil free, whole-foods. Jackfruit enchiladas, hearty beefless stews and teriyaki vegetables with tofu are just a few examples of the reimagined health-forward comfort foods that Chef Will Harris and his team creates.

The meal delivery service originated in North KC before the company uprooted its production facility to Denver. With roots in KC it’s only fitting that the first restaurant opens in Leawood’s Town Center Plaza (4853 West 117th St. Leawood, KS). The grand opening is expected to be held in December.

The restaurant plans to stand apart from other health-focused spots by using locally sourced ingredients. From heirloom beans to soy and wheat, Chef Will Harris is excited to work with KC purveyors.

“We’ve worked hard to grow these relationships with the local agriculture in Kansas and Missouri and then make menu items that heal your body and help fight chronic inflammation and disease,” says Harris. “I bring my whole toolbox of knowledge to the table with this food.”

Whole Harvest Kitchen will offer grab-and-go options and feature a partially open kitchen where the food will be made from scratch daily for lunch and dinner. There will also be a nonalcoholic bar that serves elixirs, juice flights, teas and more.

Chef Harris has an extensive culinary background having graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and worked at True Food Kitchen, known for its innovative approach to anti-inflammatory cuisine. Harris is particularly excited about the Naples-style pizza offered at Whole Harvest Kitchen that uses a 48-hour fermented sourdough crust.
