There’s a new way to experience KCK’s Taco Trail. The Trail is originally a self-guided tour of over 50 KCK taquerias, but as of June 12, foodies and taco enthusiasts alike can embark on the Taco Trail Bus Tour to explore the area’s historic food genre.

Each Taco Trail Bus Tour will last under three hours and feature a curated selection of taquerias with monthly themes. Tour themes include “carnitas” on June 12, “chicken” on July 17, “carne asada” on August 14, “al pastor” on September 11 and “birria” on October 9. Tickets are $25 and can be booked through here.

Visit KCK has partnered with Red Machine Party Bus to offer this unique food tour within the city’s food scene. Robert Galicia, owner and operator of Red Machine Party Bus, says, “I grew up in KCK. I’m thrilled to help spread the word about what the Dotte offers” (Dotte refers to Wyandotte, KS).

Taco Trail Bus Tour participants can earn points by checking in using their Taco Trail pass at each stop. Participants can sign up for the Taco Trail Pass at www.kcktacotrail.com. The Taco Trail is ongoing, but participants have until April 15, 2025 to complete it and win prizes.

According to the press release, the tour isn’t just about food. “It’s about immersing yourself in the local culture and history. Each stop on the tour is a gateway to unique stories and traditions behind the tacos.”

When embarking on a bus tour, Visit KCK encourages participants to share their experiences using the hashtag #KCKTacoTrail on social media.
