Holiday pop-up bars have skyrocketed in popularity over the past few years, partly due to their unapologetic over-the-top celebration of the holiday season . Miracle, the whimsical global holiday cocktail pop-up, continues to bring holiday cheer to cities around the world and has added two KC locations this year. A few local spots have joined in on the fun as well, including a rooftop “igloo” at the Plaza’s Fontaine Hotel. Check out the list below to indulge in some holiday cheer.
Tinsel Town at Tom’s Town Distilling Co.
For the fourth year in a row, Tom’s Town (1701 Main St., KCMO) has transformed their main floor and speakeasy basement into Tinsel Town. Patrons can sip on cocktails like Gin-gle Bells, Highball Humbug and the Salty Snowman while Christmas carols play overhead.
Reservations are $5 per person. The fee will be added to the bill. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are strongly encouraged. Make reservations here.
Elf’d Up at The Conductor Club
To celebrate the season, Union Station’s swanky bar The Conductor Club is getting Elf’d Up and turning into an homage to the classic Christmas movie Elf. The bar is open to Christmas lovers November 24 – December 30, Thursday through Saturday, including Christmas Eve.

Nine Zero One’s Igloo Bar at The Fontaine Hotel
The Plaza’s Fontaine Hotel is offering one of the most unique holiday experiences in KC. The rooftop bar Nine Zero One’s igloo bar and glamping lounges that offer a one eighty view of the city are now available to rent out and will be open until February 18.
Reserve an igloo for a group of eight or a glamping lounge for a group of up to twenty. Reservations to rent an igloo begin at $175.

The Poinsettia at The Primrose
For a casual winter wonderland, Mission’s cocktail bar The Primrose has adorned its space with twinkle lights, poinsettias and ornaments hanging from the ceiling. Decked out for the entire month of December, festive craft cocktails include the Cindy Lou Who, a blend of elderflower liqueur, pomegranate, and maple syrup, Candy Cane Lane, a chocolatey concoction spiced with peppermint, and The Vixen, a stiff bourbon libation with cranberry and honey.

SLEIGH at Serv
Just in time for the holidays, SERV is offering a private dining experience in holiday-themed igloos and containers – The Grinch’s Hideout, A Christmas Story Corner, and the Winter Wonderland Retreat. Holiday-themed cocktails include The Mean One, a spicy melon margarita, Thin Mint delight, a hot chocolate infused with RumChata and peppermint schnapps, and the Gingerbread Man, an old fashioned with a seasonal twist.
Each private dining space can accommodate two to eight guests (ages 21+) and will offer a seasonal shared plates menu, and festive drinks and desserts. The $50 reservation fee is applied toward your $150 food and beverage minimum.
For those seeking a more intimate gathering, two cozy igloos, The Arctic Lounge and The Polar Den, provide a private, heated space for up to four guests.

Sippin’ Santa at J. Rieger Co.
Sippin’ Santa is the tropical counterpart to Miracle and this year J. Rieger Co. (2700 Guinotte Ave, KCMO) is hosting. Taking place in J. Rieger’s basement bar, The Hey! Hey! Club, the intimate space has been transformed into a swanky tropical holiday oasis with tiki-inspired drinks and food.
Sippin’ Santa is open from November 20 – December 30.
According to J. Rieger’s Instagram, the pop-up is ideal for parties no larger than six and there is limited seating for group up to twelve. Make reservations here.
Jingle at KC Wine Co.
You won’t have to pay a fee or make a reservation to attend KC Wine Co.’s holiday pop-up bar Jingle (13875 S. Gardner Rd., Olathe, KS). Jingle resides inside KC Wine Co.’s new Black Barn and will be open Friday through Sunday from 4-9 P.M. starting November 24 through December 17.
Expect cocktails like Jingle Juice, Santa’s Berry Merry Lemonade, the Mistletoe Marg and Jack Frosty. Hard cider flights, wine, beers, wine slushes, charcuterie and flatbread pizzas will also be available for purchase.
Kingdom’s Greetings at Arrowhead Stadium
Winter is for the holidays. And, football. The Kansas City Chiefs and Vignettes Cocktail Bar have collaborate to bring Kingdom’s Greetings, a holiday pop-up bar located in the Penthouse inside GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
The pop-up bar is immersed in festive holiday décor for a “Merry Chiefsmas” experience that includes specialty holiday cocktails and snacks. The space will feature a nine-foot Christmas tree, a sleigh and interactive photo stations. Patrons will have the chance to write a letter to Santa next to the larger-than-life “Naughty or Nice” list.
The pop-up experience is open Thursday through Sunday starting November 24 through December 30. Tickets are $10 per person for Thursdays and Sundays, and $15 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Jolly Night at The House
The House, the neighborhood dive bar in Westwood that reopened earlier this year, has decked out their space with holiday cheer. Enjoy holiday cocktails like Clarified Thai Milk Punch, Hot Buttered Rum, Mistletoe Mule and a Southern Limerick.
One dollar from each holiday cocktail purchased will be donated to ReStart, local homeless shelter, now through December 31.
While you can’t make reservations (the inside seats about twenty), there is a large outdoor patio with heaters and a fire pit with s’mores are available to purchase. The bar is open Fridays and Saturdays only from 5 – 11pm.
Deck The District at Iron District
The Northland’s outdoor food court Iron District is transforming their usual tiki bar Tiki Huna into Deck The District, their winter wonderland pop-up bar will run from November 15 to December 23.
If you’re looking for some warmth, the Iron District’s upper deck will be enclosed and heated. Cocktails are curated by bar manager of Tiki Huna Trent Kesterson.

Drastic Mensches at Drastic Measures
For the majority of December, the downtown Shawnee’s James Beard finalist cocktail bar Drastic Measures will transform into Drastic Mensches – a pop-up inspired by and in support of the local Jewish community (5817 Nieman Rd, Shawnee, KS).
The popup will run from December 8 and into the New Year. Throughout the days of Hanukkah, 100 percent of Drastic Measure’s sales will be donated to Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City.
The cocktail menu will be inspired by Jewish foods and culture. Per usual, Drastic doesn’t take reservations so be sure to bundle up in case you have to wait in line outside.
Holiday Candy Lane at Serendipity Farm and Vine
Head out south to Stilwell, Kansas for Serendipity Farm and Vine’s holiday pop-up Holiday Candy Lane. The winery’s tasting rooms will be decked out in candy themes, have a festive grazing board and holiday cocktails and mocktails.
Themed music bingo or trivia will take place every Friday and Saturdays will feature live music.
The pop-up bar will be open the weekends of December 1-2, December 8-9 and December 15-16. Reservations are $20 per person.
Holiday Hideaway at Chicken N Pickle
Both Chicken N Pickle‘s North KC and Overland Park locations will host a holiday pop-up bar Holiday Hideaway. Holiday Hideaway will have lodge vibes, summit views and outdoor fire pits.
The pop-up is open through New Year’s Eve at both locations. Reservations start at $20. Check the Chicken N Pickle website for updates.

Miracle on the Plaza and Main Street
Unlike it’s sister pop-up Sippin’ Santa, Miracle keeps it traditional with an over the top Christmas theme that envelopes the space in holiday spirit.
There are two KC Miracle locations this year – one at the Country Club Plaza (4807 Jefferson St. KCMO) and another in the Crossroads (1924 Main St. KCMO).
Miracle on the Plaza will open Thanksgiving day and the Crossroads location will open November 24. Walk-ins are welcome. Be sure to read the booking guidelines before making reservations.

Rec Deck the Halls at Boulevard Brewery
Boulevard Brewery will host a holiday pop-up bar Rec Deck the Halls on the fourth-floor. The fun experience will feature holiday-inspired cocktails concocted with Quirk Hard Seltzers, Fling Craft Cocktails and boozy barrel-aged beers. Keepsake glassware, small bites and shuffleboard courts will also be available.
Rec Dec the Halls is open November 24th through December 30th, Fridays & Saturdays 1:30 p.m. -10 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Kansas City G.I.F.T. Walk-ins are welcome but groups of 8-30 will require a reservation.
Winter Skies at Sheraton KC
Winter Skies offers a luxurious holiday pop-up bar experience in the Sheraton Hotel’s former Skies restaurant. The holiday pop-up bar boasts a panoramic view of the city with a winter forest theme and high end food and cocktail menu.
Located on the Sheraton’s 42 floor, prices start at $70. Winter Skies will be open Thursday through Saturday. Reservations fill up quickly.

Tinsel Tavern at KC Power and Light
Leinie’s Lodge and Beer Garden (1323 Walnut St., KCMO) has been turned into Tinsel Tavern for the holiday season. Along with holiday-inspired cocktails and festive food, Tinsel Tavern will also feature themed events like Christmas karaoke, ugly sweater contests and Christmas DJ nights throughout the season.
Tinsel Tavern is open daily from November 24 through December 30. Bar seating will be available on a first-come, first-served
basis.
