Whether you’re planning a holiday scavenger hunt, corporate holiday party, night out with friends or cozy winter date, we’ve got you covered.

Sippin’ Santa at J. Rieger & Co. (2700 Guinotte Ave, KCMO, jriegerco.com

KC’s iconic whiskey distillery has turned its Electric Park tent into a tropical holiday oasis. 

The tiki-themed pop-up, from the creators of Miracle, will operate through Dec. 28, while the basement cocktail lounge, Hey! Hey! Club, will be transformed into a very “Ralph Lauren” holiday. Make reservations for Sippin’ Santa here.

Ho-Ho-Ho at The House (2707 W 47th St., Westwood, KS, thehousewestwood.com)

Pair comforting Thai food with holiday cheer at The House, next door to Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop in Westwood. Guests can enjoy holiday cocktails onsite and order takeout from Lulu’s next door.

The holiday drink menu includes festive riffs on classics with drinks like Gingerbread Delight, Irish coffee, apple pie martini, spiked hot chocolate and the House hot toddy. Bar essentials include an espresso martini, an old fashioned, Negronis and more.

Ho-Ho-Ho at The House will be on display through the end of the year. Reservations are not required.

An Old Fashioned Christmas at Hilton President Hotel

The Hilton is treating us to nostalgia with their holiday pop-up An Old Fashioned Christmas through Dec. 27.

Drinks like a hot buttered rum, a fig-infused old fashioned and nog topped with hazelnut whipped cream will be offered along with small bites

An Old Fashioned Christmas is open 4 to 10 pm. Tickets are $6 per person and include a one-and-a-half to two hour reservation and special parking rates. Make a reservation here.

Christmas Vacation Club at The Conductor Club (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO, pierponts.com)

To celebrate the season, Union Station’s swanky bar The Conductor Club is turning into an homage to the classic Christmas movie Christmas Vacation. Reservations for Dec. 12 through Dec. 27 will release on Friday, Dec. 5 at 10 am.

Winter Wonderland at The Bar West Plaza (1121 W. 47th St, KCMO, thebarskc.com)

The Bar West Plaza’s Winter Wonderland is serving cheeky cocktails, shots, and photo ops starting the day after Thanksgiving.

Drinks offered include Santa’s Sack Martini with a candy cane rim, Mistletoe Make Out with fireball cinnamon apple and Rudolph’s Red Rocket, a festive margarita.

Reservations are not required.

Miracle at The Rockhill Grille and on the Plaza (miraclepopupkc.com)

Miracle returns to dazzle Kansas City at two locations: Miracle on the Plaza (4807 Jefferson St, KCMO) The Rockhill Grille (2000 Grand Blvd, KCMO).

Miracle throws one of the most immersive and over-the-top holiday pop-up bar with santa-shaped mugs, wrapping paper walls and giant hanging ornaments.

Walk-ins are welcome with a $10 cover charge as seating is available. Paid table reservations are $20-$25 per seat.

Blitzen’s Holiday Pop Up at Burger Shed Olathe (10401 S Ridgeview Rd, Olathe, KS, eatatburgershed.com)

This year, Burger Shed is bringing its first holiday pop-up to Olathe. Blitzen’s, a cheerful family-friendly escape, provides playful decor. With an entrance adorned with a 20-foot inflatable Blitzen reindeer and life-sized Grinch, Santa, and reindeer throughout the space, this pop-up is perfect for families looking for the perfect holiday photo op.

Located inside of the Embassy Suites Olathe, Blitzen’s will also be the location for Burger Shed’s first Ugly Christmas Party on December 15th. Blitzen’s will be open to the public through January 10th. 

Rec Deck the Halls at Boulevard (2534 Madison Ave, KCMO, boulevard.com)

Boulevard has transformed its fourth-floor Rec Deck into an immersive holiday getaway. From jolly lights and shimmering decor to a creative curation of cocktails, Quirk Hard Seltzers and barrel-aged beers, guests can delight in the holiday cheer, shuffleboard boards, and keepsake glassware in one of Kansas City’s flagship breweries.

Back by popular demand, are the Candy Cottages, which are semi-private cabana-style spaces available for groups eight to 14.

Rec Deck the Halls is open on Fridays and Saturdays through December 27th. General seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and cover is $5, with a portion of proceeds benefiting local nonprofits Guadalupe Centers and Kansas City G.I.F.T. The space can be reserved for private and corporate holiday parties Monday through Thursday. Groups of eight to 25 require reservation, which can be made here.

Merryton at Vivilore (10815 E Winner Rd, Independence, MO, vivilore.com)

Vivilore will offer holiday bites and libations at its Mandarin Event Space until Dec. 27. Admission is $10 per person and does not include food or drink.

The Poinsettia at The Primrose (5622 Johnson Dr., Mission, KS, theprimrosemission.square.site)

For a casual winter wonderland, Mission’s cocktail bar The Primrose has adorned its space with twinkle lights, poinsettias and ornaments hanging from the ceiling.

The Primrose is first come first serve.

How The Grinch Stole Goat & Rabbit at Goat & Rabbit (1804 W 39th St., KCMO, gandrkc.com)

From now until Jan. 4, Goat and Rabbit is serving specialty holiday cocktails notable local mixologist Matsumoto Mari.

Sun Club Snow Globes at Blanc Champagne Bar (3835 Main St., KCMO, blanconmain.com)

Blanc is giving their rooftop a magical makeover with luxe igloos.

The base cost for each Snow Globe reservation is $300, which includes two winter boards (one savory and one sweet) and one large-format winter drink. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking, which is applied to your final bill. Each Snow Globe seats up to six guests.

Season Of The People at Drastic Measures (5817 Nieman Rd., Shawnee, KS, drasticbar.com)

All month long, all cocktails served at Drastic Measures, a James Beard semifinalist cocktail bar, are $10.

Jolly’s at Grinders (1830 Locust St., KCMO, grinderspizza.com)

Grinder’s Jolly’s pop-up bar will bring the Christmas spirit with decorations galore, holiday music, Christmas Trivia and an ugly Christmas sweater party.

Jolly’s is open Thursday through Sunday until December 27 during normal operating hours. Reservations are not required. Private holiday party reservations for groups of 40 or more can be made Monday through Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday before public hours.

The pop-up is located at behind Grinders, next to Brewery Emperial. Follow the lights.

Tinsel Tavern at Shark Bar (1340 Grand Blvd, KCMO, powerandlightdistrict.com)

You don’t have to catch a flight to celebrate the holidays on a beach. Head down to Shark Bar in KC Live! in the Power & Light District where the beach meets holiday. 

Everywhere they look, guests will find something to look at or to scan and win prizes. Tinsel Tavern features seasonal cocktails, zero-proof mocktails, festive photo ops, holiday movies on the big screen, a spacious and heated outdoor patio and even a few guest appearances from Grinch and Santa Clause. Plus, there will be an ice luge for extra glacial gulps. 

Tinsel Tavern is open through December 28th, Wednesday to Friday from 5 to 10 pm, and weekends from 2 to 10 pm. Cover is $10.

The Frosted Cabanas and The Frosted Reef at Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City (1491 N. 98th Terr., KCK, margaritavilleresorts.com)

Debuting two new holiday experiences, Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City is elevating winter celebrations with stylish pop-ups and private reservations.

Six poolside cabanas, each uniquely themed and transformed into warm winter lounges are available for two-hour rentals. Bookings at The Frosted Cabanas include a build-your-own hot chocolate tray and comes complete for a cozy poolside night with blankets, board games, a TV and Bluetooth speaker. Plates of caribbean sliders and spicy coconut corn ribs are designed for sharing and for dessert, there’s a build-your-own s’mores kit. Drinks are holiday-inspired cocktails.

Each cabana can accommodate up to 10 guests. Pricing varies by day; $200 Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and $250 on Fridays and Saturdays. 

As for The Frosted Reed, it’s located on the first level of the LandShark Bar & Grill, and features tropical lights and a seasonal food and drink menu.

Tables accommodate up to six people per reservation. The Frosted Reef will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 pm to midnight. Entry is $10 per person. Reservations are not required, but encouraged.

Holiday Hideaway at Chicken N Pickle (chickennpickle.com)

Both Chicken N Pickle‘s North KC and Overland Park locations will host a holiday pop-up bar Holiday Hideaway. Holiday Hideaway will have 12 festive cocktails plus a drink flight, a build-your-own hot chocolate experience and a variety of beer, wine & liquor.

The pop-up is open through New Year’s Eve at both locations. Reservations start are $5-$10 per person.

Nine Zero One’s Igloo Bar at The Fontaine Hotel (901 W 48th Pl, KCMO, thefontainehotel.com)

The Plaza’s Fontaine Hotel is offering one of the most unique holiday experiences in KC. The rooftop bar Nine Zero One’s igloo bar and glamping lounges that offer a one eighty view of the city are now available to rent out.
