Holiday pop-up bars have skyrocketed in popularity over the past few years, partly due to their unapologetic over-the-top celebration of the holiday season . Miracle, the whimsical global holiday cocktail pop-up, continues to bring holiday cheer to cities around the world and has added two KC locations this year. A few local spots have joined in on the fun as well, including a rooftop “igloo” at the Plaza’s Fontaine Hotel. Check out the list below to indulge in some holiday cheer.

Tinsel Town at Tom’s Town Distilling Co.

For the fourth year in a row, Tom’s Town (1701 Main St., KCMO) has transformed their main floor and speakeasy basement into Tinsel Town. Patrons can sip on cocktails like Gin-gle Bells, Highball Humbug and the Salty Snowman while Christmas carols play overhead.

Reservations are $5 per person. The fee will be added to the bill. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are strongly encouraged. Make reservations here

For a casual winter wonderland, Mission’s cocktail bar The Primrose has adorned its space with twinkle lights, poinsettias and ornaments hanging from the ceiling. Decked out for the entire month of December, festive craft cocktails include the Cindy Lou Who, a blend of elderflower liqueur, pomegranate, and maple syrup, Candy Cane Lane, a chocolatey concoction spiced with peppermint, and The Vixen, a stiff bourbon libation with cranberry and honey.

The Primrose is first come first serve.

SLEIGH at Serv

Just in time for the holidays, SERV is offering a private dining experience in holiday-themed igloos and containers – The Grinch’s Hideout, A Christmas Story Corner, and the Winter Wonderland Retreat. Holiday-themed cocktails include The Mean One, a spicy melon margarita, Thin Mint delight, a hot chocolate infused with RumChata and peppermint schnapps, and the Gingerbread Man, an old fashioned with a seasonal twist.

Each private dining space can accommodate two to eight guests (ages 21+) and will offer a seasonal shared plates menu, and festive drinks and desserts. The $50 reservation fee is applied toward your $150 food and beverage minimum.
