Corvino Supper Club & Tasting Room

Corvino will have seating turns in the Tasting Room at 6 and 9 pm for their ten-course Prix-Fixe menu. In the Supper Club, notable local pianist Matt Villinger will play from 6-9 pm and the Chalis O’Neal Quartet from 9:30-11:45 pm.

If Corvino is already booked by the time you call for a reservation, you can attend their Raven’s Nest Winemaker Series dinner on February 19th, featuring Silvia Bonomo of Monte del Frá, Italy. Chef Michael Corvino will prepare a five-course menu specifically tailored to beautiful wines ranging from frizzante to pinot grigio to Amarone. The dinner series starts at 6:30 pm and is priced at $124 per person.

Valentine’s Day is always a good time at Tannin, and this year happens to be the nine-year anniversary of their opening date. On Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15,  Tannin will offer a special Valentine’s Prix-Fixe menu with an optional wine pairing.  The menu will have three courses plus an amuse bouche course with multiple options per course at $60 per guest. A wine pairing of one half glass per course will be available for about half of the menu’s price. Tannin will also offer a special a la carte menu on that same Friday and Saturday for guests looking for something quicker and more casual. Make a reservation today!

Valentine’s Day Dinner, Feb. 14

Bluestem will serve a three-course dinner for $85 per person with an optional wine pairing for $50 per person. They have seatings available at 5:30, 7 and 8:30 pm.

Valentine’s Tea, February 15

If you can’t join Bluestem on the 14th, fear not—they are serving Valentine’s Tea at 11 am and 1 pm on Feb. 15. This ticketed event includes teas, pastries and sandwiches for $40 a person (or $17 for children 10 and under). The restaurant will also offer a premium champagne and caviar supplement for $50.

JJ’s Restaurant

JJ’s on the Plaza is known for having one of the best wine lists in KC. Head there on Valentine’s Day for a great wine selection and a delicious crab dinner. Enjoy crab legs and garlic butter for two on Valentines Day, along with a selection of special desserts.

The Rieger

For Valentine’s Day dinner at The Rieger, the restaurant is asking for a $25 per person deposit to reserve a table, which will be applied to the final bill.

The Reiger is also hosting a cocktail class at 3 pm the day after Valentine’s Day led by Manifesto bartender Kyle Gardner in the restaurant’s private dining room. Three cocktails plus small bites ticks in at $35.

Webster House will offer an $80 four-course menu with wine pairings available for an additional $35 on Friday the 14th. The same menu will be available a la carte on Saturday the 15th.

Tavernonna

Hungry? Tavernonna will be serving a twenty-eight-ounce angus porterhouse steak Dinner for Two on Valentine’s Day. The meal will include bone marrow-stuffed oysters, roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and Amarone mostarda. The Dinner for Two runs for $95 and will be available on both Friday and Saturday.

Cafe Provence

Cafe Provence, one of our favorite suburban jewels of KC, has prepared  a seasonally inspired, locally sourced four-course prix fixe menu with a glass of sparkling and amuse-bouche, for $125 per person on Valentine’s Day. Whether you are wanting seafood or meat, Cafe Provence has outstanding plates curated by Executive Chef Philip Quillec. A few unique dishes on the menu include: The Kobe Beef Coulotte Steak with béarnaise sauce, crab, asparagus and gratin dauphinois; the Ora King Salmon with horseradish potato croquette, carrot purée, asparagus and lemon dill butter sauce; and the Lobster and Avocado Tartine with a toasted baguette, radish and celery. The Russell host two nights of Supper Club to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The dinner sits at $125 per person and will be a French menu called “Flamme.” The menu is five courses, starting with a french wine and cheese course, a white wine mussels course, a duck confit on a bed of frizze, a beef bourguignonne dish and a dark chocolate terrine.
