Art and Craft is a Sushi Pop-Up You Don’t Want to Miss

Sarah Nelson and Louis Guerrieri have spent years crafting their culinary skills in preparation of having their own non-traditional sushi concept. In February of this year, the husband and wife opened up Sushi MO! in the East Crossroads’  Parlor food hall.

Along with Sushi MO!, the couple wanted to begin creating pop-up food events in Kansas City. Their friends at Myers and Monroe, an art gallery in the Crossroads, wanted to join in, and thus they’ve created a new pop-up dinner called Art and Craft.

Cole Myers, the owner of Myers and Monroe, admires historical french pieces and has spent years acquiring, displaying, and selling museum-quality period furniture. Myers’ appreciation for antiques began when visiting his great-grandparents’ 19th century home in Platte County when he was a child. Since then, he has become fluent in French, obtained his Masters in Paris, has studied museums and private collections throughout France, and opened up his own gallery, Myers and Monroe.

The friends have decided to fuse Eastern and Western culture together for a night of appreciating the art in food and furniture.

The pop-up event, which is taking place on March 29, is $110 per person and will feature a seven-course culinary adventure in sushi, complete with drink pairings, while surrounded by beautiful French period pieces.

Enjoy a seven-course sushi dinner in the Crossroads Art District this March.

The creators of Sushi MO! and the owner of Myers and Monroe are teaming up for a night of historical art and authentic sushi at this pop-up event on March 29th in Kansas City.

Tickets can be found here.
