12 local spots helping you embrace a dry January

For those who have decided to begin their New Year with a vow to abstain from alcohol, it may be realized how difficult it can be to maintain social commitments without the boozy component. Whether you’re looking for a dynamite mocktail, or just a fixation your hands, below is a list of bars and restaurants looking out for those embracing a dry January with elevated nonalcoholic beverages.

Mission Taco 

In addition to their usual nonalcoholic offerings (margaritas, palomas, and piña coladas to name a few), Mission Taco has partnered with BARE Zero Proof Spirits to create an elevated nonalcoholic craft cocktail – the Dry Januberry. This mocktail is made with BARE’s reposado tequila and mixed with lime, strawberry, vanilla, coconut, and jalapeño for a sweet drink that has a little bit of a kick.

Prime Social

Try the cucumber lemonade or the strawberry limeade mixed with fresh lime an aloe water. If you’re feeling adventurous you can ask the bartender to make you a fresh concoction made with a nonalcoholic spirit. 

Town Company

Decadent mocktail options consist of Not a Planet, a gin alternative mixed with passion fruit, orgeat, lime, and ginger, or the Clear Headed, a combination of a rum alternative, earl grey tea, smoked vanilla, black pepper, mace, and clarified orange. Athletic Brewing Co.’s nonalcoholic Indiana pale ale and Mighty Kind’s cbd seltzer are other nonalcoholic beverages offered.

Servaes Brewing Company

A new release of four nonalcoholic beers have hit the shelves at Servaes Brewery. The creative brews include a peach milkshake hop water, coconut mocha sweet stout, classic margarita seltzer, and a purple pineapple berliner weisse. If you’re looking to taste test just grab a flight of all four.

Restaurant at 1900

Spirit free beverages include a Winter Colada, made with gingerbread balsamic, coconut, lime, and pinapple, or a Fusion Spritz, made with verjus blanc, soda, tonic, and rhubarb bitters.

Ça Va

This champagne bar has multiple bubbly offerings without the alcohol. A lavender honey, lemon, and bubbles concoction is available alongside a sparkling rose and sparkling dry Riesling.

Novel

At the bottom of their cocktail menu, you’ll find the V&T mocktail, a mix of verius, aperitif, lime, and tonic. 

Mitch e Amaro

This amaro bar offers an extensive menu of mocktails featuring Seedlip nonalcoholic spirits. 

And there are a few bars that do not have mocktails on their menu but just ask your bartender and they will create one for you: Verdigris, Drastic Measures, Mercury Room and Monarch Bar.
