From Hops to Hemp: Boulevard Debuts THC Seltzer

Kansas City’s hometown brewery, Boulevard Brewing Co., has announced the launch of two exciting beverages. One blazing a trail into new territory and another the return of a fan favorite.

First up, Boulevard‘s sibling brand Quirk Hard Seltzer is stepping into the hemp-derived beverage world with its new line, Quirk THC Seltzer. Berry Jane, a THC-infused seltzer made with real raspberry juice, is the first flavor to hit the shelves. It’s zero-proof and will be offered in 5mg and 10mg options, each in four-packs of 12-ounce cans. Expect to see Berry Jane on shelves in Missouri and Kansas this November.

“Berry Jane is the natural next step for Quirk,” said Boulevard’s vice president of marketing, Ali Bush. “It brings our love of real fruit and bold flavor into an entirely new experience.”

Each can includes a QR code that links to lab results showing exactly what’s in your batch, all verified by a state-approved, third-party lab for safety and accuracy.

As for the return of an old favorite, Boulevard’s Nitro Dry Stout is being revived after over a decade. First brewed in 1996, the smooth, toasty beer pours nearly black with a tan head and balances flavors of dark chocolate and espresso at 4.9% ABV.

“We’ve seen a renewed craving for Irish-style dry stouts,” said Boulevard brand manager Adam Hall. “Luckily, we had a tried-and-true recipe waiting for its moment.”

Nitro Dry Stout will be available in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans and on draft throughout the Midwest and select outer markets beginning today, as well as at Boulevard’s Tours & Rec Center.
