A celebration fifty years in the making made for some rowdy moments at Wednesday’s Kansas City Chiefs victory parade and rally.
The Kansas City Police Department has confirmed that two arrests were made yesterday: the driver in a car chase on the parade route and a man at Union Station who was booked for disorderly conduct.
That’s two more than the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series celebration, where there were no reported arrests.
If you missed the action, here’s a recap of the most memorable moments of the Super Bowl victory celebration.
Parade Route Car Chase
At 8:13 am, a car broke through a barrier on the north side of the parade route, leading to a car chase on Pershing. Police deployed tire deflation strips and then stopped the car with a PIT maneuver, drew weapons and detained two suspects. Luckily, the car chase left no injuries. Mayor Quinton Lucas told WDAF that it was an impaired driver taking ‘a joy ride’ and the ordeal was not terrorism-related. Officers found substances in the vehicle that tested positive for methamphetamine and toxicology results showed suspect allegedly tested positive for amphetamines and cocaine. According to charging documents, the driver faces charges of resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
I didn't know there was such a thing as "textbook technique to stop a car chase and not have civilians getting run over," but apparently there is? pic.twitter.com/JWyJwPVQYS

Man Runs Into a Parking Meter
Patrick Mahomes threw a football into the crowd, which led to a potential receiver colliding into a parking meter. If anyone knows who this guy is and if he’s okay, please let Mahomes know.

Mahomes Showering Travis Kelce With Coors Light
One of the best (and most tweeted) moments of the parade was when Mahomes poured beer into Kelce’s mouth from the top of the bus, showering him—and his Louis Vuitton coat—with Coors Light. “-20,000$ coat -8$ coors light beer -championship parade? PRICELESS,” tweeted Kelce’s girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.

A Depantsed Man Fell Out of a Tree
In a NSFW video, a drunken fan showing his bare butt attempts to climb a tree outside Union Station and falls out of the tree. KCPD confirms that this man was not booked or charged but was removed from the parade in an ambulance.
In positive news, KCPD confirmed that the Lost Child Reunification points successfully reunited eight children to their families.
