Finley Farms in Ozark is a historic gem and naturalistic gathering place

Located on the banks of the Finley River in the heart of the Missouri town of Ozark, Finley Farms is a sprawling naturalistic gathering place and farm-forward dining destination that makes for the perfect day trip or weekend getaway pit stop.

Located between Springfield, home to Bass Pro Shops, and the famed Big Cedar Lodge, which is just south of Branson, this historic gem features multiple restaurants, an urban farm and nature trails for exploring.

THE OZARK MILL

Initially built in the early 1800s and preserved with care, The Ozark Mill serves as the heart of the property. After retiring as the last commercially operating watermill in Missouri, Johnny Morris, noted conservationist and founder of Bass Pro Shops, purchased The Mill with a vision for a riverfront restaurant. After an extensive restoration process, The Ozark Mill reopened in 2021.

Inside, the mill’s family-friendly restaurant serves seasonal dishes, pastas and fire-baked grain mill pizzas. Many ingredients are sourced from the property’s farm, less than 1,000 feet away from the kitchen.

THE GARRISON

Tucked away beneath The Ozark Mill, The Garrison features upscale, shareable plates and craft cocktails. The candlelit hideaway highlights the best of the Ozarks while celebrating its folklore, traditions and quirks. On the menu, you’ll find seafood, steaks and curiosities such as bison tartare in addition to signature drinks inspired by the mill’s intricate machinery.
