This Kansas City flower truck pops up all over town

The Petaler

Sarah Pickert’s craving for a creative outlet, along with seeing a flower truck in Florida, inspired The Petaler (kcflowertruck.com). After finalizing her business plan, she bought a restored ’53 Ford pickup truck and began to form relationships with Kansas City-area flower wholesalers and nearby flower farms. Now, she fits 30 buckets in her adorable little truck.

The Petaler customers can choose from premade flower bouquets ($15 and $35) or DIY one from the buckets of stems (averages $1 to $7 per stem).

The Petaler is bookable for private events like weddings and corporate gatherings, and it also hosts pop-ups at KC businesses. “For weddings, we’re hoping to be someone’s ‘something blue,” Pickert says, noting the standout cobalt-blue color of her truck. Keep an eye on The Petaler’s Instagram (@kcflowertruck) to see where it’ll be next.
